Yah, just managed to sit down in front of this com, at last.
These 2 days' orientation is shiok! [despite the mass dance really pisses me off sometimes.]
So I got to know my class yesterday. Subject combi S3E. [I'm always stuck with this letter I don't know why], then my class 04S06. Simple enough. 04 = year, S = Science, 06 = class number 6. Population of 25 + 1 intruder. No lah, she's attached to this MOE programme and will be joining us for 3 months then go NTU. Lucky woman. Then we have to intro ourselves for 2 times. Once for the sake of the SCs, once for the sake of my CT. [Civics Tutor = Form Teacher] His name is Mr Fuad, which 80% of us couldn't pronounce it. Then he was saying, better not forget his name and get mixed up with other teachers, coz how difficult issit to remember a four letter word that starts with 'Fu' Fine fine. 13 guys, 13 girls, btw. 8/26 are from PRC. Why?!
So yesterday was the official opening of Orientation. Theme : Olympia. So all the ancient Greece stuff got brought into this orientation. Even the way the programmes are named. Got divided into clans, like all other schools will do, namely, Athens, Corinth, Delphi, Sparta, Lemnos, Eleusis. I belong to Delphi, colour : yellow. Haiz. But Delphi roX! [Eleusis not bad oso lah, the shuai shuai SC inside. haha.] Then all the OGLs from each clan put up skits on how each clan came about. All about ancient Greece. Their costumes are so cool! Then my group got this indian, he damn suay, always acts as baddie, today, and yesterday, the python. Heh. Then Principal was invited in, acting as the Queen of Ancient Greece, and lit up the Olympic fire. Olympia : Let the games begin! [Lalala~]
Then proceeded to classrooms. Had the 2 times intro, then talked a lot. There were 2 Alans in my class, I don't know why. In primary school, I had 3 Cheryls in my class, all the way till P6. Then sec 1&2, I had 2 Kelvins in my class, sec 3&4 had two A/Elvins [which is still pronunced the same way], now 2 Alans. Why must all these confusions happen? And there's this DHS guy that goes "I hate....laughing." I nearly burst into laughter. Then the CT stared at him, he continued, "I like cheerful people, coz at home I don't laugh, then I go school and laugh" Then the entire class roared into laughter. His reason damn funny. [After staying for 4 years in AH, I completely forgot how to spell Malay names. Heh, and I couldn't pronounced it either.]
Then went off for clan sessions, learnt clan cheers, make step designs, skits etc. We practically did nothing, coz we volunteered to paint the step designs. Hehe. Lazy bumps, my class ppl. But very enthu, that's the good point. Don't know how many CCA presidents and SC presidents inside. Those RV girls in my class not bad lah, quite nice. All the clan cheers were like sabo-ing the other clans, like Sprata. There's a cheer specially for them, sth to do with Prata. Heh. And what's that street called? Jalan what? My classmate just taught me. Damn. My official clan cheer is very lame, the tune especially. So because of this Delphi, my house is Solaris, since both are yellow. Got stuck to this colour for life liao. Argh~ And if you know, whose IRC nick is Solaris? -giggles- Haha.
Then went off for water games, first was walking on canvas, with detergent water. That was the last dirty one, I guess. So I played that, coz I really got freaked out by the Milo and butter one. Got to grab guy's hands and walk, so irritating, with egg in mouth oso. Lucky there weren't enough eggs for both ppl. Haha, coz everytime got splashed I screamed. Ha. Then there was a game on water bombs, with milo bombs, again. That one sucked. My class girls got splashed on the heads somemore. Ew.
Then idiot rain came along, so OG session began. OGLs got us into pairs again, and got to ask stupid questions, like everything loh. Inclusive of their steads and everything. Private stuff you know. But that Nana Hua guy, my partner, got stead in NJ lah. [Heh. oOps. I typed it out.] One idiot OGL made us revise the dance again, when it's like she's that idiot that didn't know the steps. So had to accompany her to dance in the rain. e-dioting. e-rritating[Her name starts with E...so, yah]
oOps. Got to slp soon. Anyway, today's was much more fun. Had more games, which including Captains Ball, and my OGLs told us to remove our shoes. So all the players, which included me and 7 others, got huge blisters now. Ouch. Then had OG session, played that kind of innocent pocky game, where u pass the pocky from mouth to mouth. Haiz. Then had War Games, which is like to protect your clan's territories and attack others, more of strategy game. But my clan was disqualified, coz some smarties went to use hose instead of water bombs, which is dyed according to the clan colour. Got into torture chamber, where, we....didn't get tortured in the end. phew. Coz was behind time, so punishment was to clear up. Haha. Allies everywhere, so fuN!. Got hit by tons of water bombs, so my entire body was wet. Nvm, that's the exciting part. Haha.
Tml we'll be having mock lectures and bbq. YeaH~~ But point is, they giv u 3 hours to buy food and other stuff, where is the nearest supermarket?! One whole stretch of Dunearn Road, from HCJC all the way to NYGH.
Finally getting to dance properly. Finally, but sometimes just got the wrong directions. Hehe.
I guess everybody got the same Orientation Package ba. 2 T-shirts, one black, one white, one ring file, one metal waterbottle [mine's silver!], one foolscap pad, one towel.
And who's planning to go back AH? Tell me leh, then I see whether I can make it anot.
Btw, if you know who's Hunag Shiyu, the Bachelorerette guy, some Mediacorp artiste. If you think he's cute, I think he is, haha, NJ got lots of such guys, of course there are perfect....opposite. But my OGLs, one looks like that 4H'02 Michael, one looks like Johnathan, the one with an ultra long name. Then there's another one from Corinth that looks like 942, including the behaviour. Wah seh, I was like [!!!!!] Nvm. Eleusis that one better. =P
